Artist Guy Laramee carves amazing landscapes from books that are slowly falling apart, such as old encyclopedias and dictionaries. His premise is that knowledge could well erode instead of build: ‘Mountains of disused knowledge return to what they really are – mountains. They erode a bit, they flatten and and become fields where apparently nothing is happening’.
