Salvador Dali

Salvador Dali, is one character and a half! Dalí’s artistic persona didn’t only just show through in his  paintings, films, sculpture and photography; but also through his clothing, coiffure and behaviour. Even his iconic moustache was a work of art! In 1936, Dalí took part in the London International Surrealist Exhibition. His lecture entitled “Fantomes paranoiaques authentiques” (authentic paranoid ghosts) was delivered wearing a deep-sea diving suit, so nothing out of the ordinary then, hey?

This weird eccentric character fit was within his element with the surrealist art, this was his true realm and domain where he could really come into his own; by exploring and expressing his individuality!
